Need new Turbo

Short term storage near Oklahoma City?

My wife and I drove our empty Dodge to Idaho to pick up the 08 Silver Fox we ordered three months ago. We had it equipped with a 5500 Onan generator, 50A service, two awning topper, hide-a-bed, 16" aluminum wheels and ST tires (soon to be changed to Michelin XPS Rib LT, 16") and scare lights. We stoped at a near by Wal-Mart, bought food and supplies and drove to Grants Pass, OR to visit my brother. We came home by way of Reno and Las Vegas, NV. We drove some 3200 miles. We sure like it and it pulled like a dream, in part due to the new Super Rail PullRite hitch. We have no complains at all, nor any problems. It is everything I was told it would be and then some. The best price in all the western states was Pinehurst RV in Idaho. I called most of the dealers for pricing and I didn't have to negotiate Pinehurst one dime.

Sounds very nice. You had a slide in camper before right? How do you like the 5er compared to the slide in?

We need pics. :-laf

We like the space inside and the storage outside. It is harder to maneuver around parking lots. On the open highway, I feel it is easier to pull, except when going up hills. The fuel mileage is about 3 mpg less. My wife and I took an 11K miles round trip to Alaska in the 11'-3" Lance camper last summer, which was great, but we did get a little claustrophobic living in it for two months. We are planning another Alaska trip in the 5er next year. So far we love it and when we get to a campground or home, we unhitch it and have use of an empty truck. There are a lot of good and bad about both. A 24' would have been more ideal, but I couldn't get a built-in generator or 16" wheels on one. Arctic Fox is a good way to go. :)

Congratulations, we've had our AF for 3 years now and really love it.

You'll be doing yourself a favor by putting those XPS Ribs on that trailer.

You dog you!!;) Congratulations! You finally have one. I've been following your posts in your quest for an AF and now you have one... awesome. I would like to grab one some day. I'm sure it will work out great for you.

We ordered our Fox in August and had to wait till Northwood ran the 27-5L's, which were produced in mid September and was ready for us to pick up on 2 October. When you get ready for one you won't beat the prices at Pinehurst RV in Idaho, which may be too far from St Louis.

Grizzly, congratulations! I'm thinking of ordering a 25S AF travel trailer with swivel chairs. I'll check out Pinehurst since I'm not impressed with my closest dealer, Pan Pacific near Stockton, CA. Thanks for doing the leg work.

I was very happy with Pinehurst RV. Ask for Mike or Chad, they'll treat you right. Call 1 800-734-3077. Good hearing from you Rick.

I googled Arctic Fox and got Northwood Manu. Thanks , We had a dealer right north of me in Amherst Va. I've been reading your's and other's about the Nash so now I can run up and see frist hand. This dealer is new and I never paid attension. He's off the beaten path. Thanks again

Pictures of the Fox. As you can see it will not fit in my Trailer Port attached to my barn. The solution is that I will take the roof apart on the trailer Port only and build it again 12 to 14" higher.

The last photo is the 5er at Pinehurst RV in Idaho.
