Diesel Motorcycle takes on the salt flats

I am looking at getting a newer used pickup " I can't justify anything over $25k for any vehicle on this planet new or used" and with the price of diesel it is making a gasser look promising again. I am looking at getting a new enough pickup that has the multidisplacement system but I am not sure what year that it started in the pickups. What are others experience with fuel milage with them? I know of a new durango 06 with this and gets 17-18 in town and 20-22 on the road. Would a shortbox 1/2 ton 4X4 extended cab do around 17-18 overall? How about the megacab 1/2 ton. It would be a daily driver all over road miles averaging 70 mph.

I would like a crd liberty but it isn't big enough to pull my 22 foot triple tube pontoon and the milage claims on the grand cherokee with the 3. 0 crd only gets 18-20 which at the price of diesel over gass wouldn't be good enough to make it pay.

Wifes cousin works for DC dealer. Consistent oil change is required for MSD to work properly. He had a recent customer with a Durango with MSD problems. Customer was second owner with 40k total on the clock. Truck had original oil filter from the factory. The oil filter had a "Factory" stamp.

Most the Hemi trucks I see register about 15 or less on the trip computer,of course they will drop more than the deisel does when towing. The 1500 megacab is still on a HD chassis (8lug and hd drivetrain and frame)
