anybody have the vision 19. 5's that rickerson sells. their other wheels are backordered for 8-10 months and need something now. in can have these in 3-4-weeks. what tire size is most common for single axle 3500 trucks

I run 265/70 R19. 5's and like them. I think perhaps the 245's are the most popular, though. They're basically a 33" tall tire.

I had the Vision wheels with 245/70-19. 5" Dunlop SP431 M&S tires on my truck for about a month... I liked them, but took them off because I'm looking at new trucks...

They were a bit heavier than the ricksons, but were wayyy cheaper... . and look better IMO, I like the look of exposed lug nuts... . :-laf

here is mine... .

nice pictures!

When you get 19. 5 wheels and tires from ie Discount Tire do they do the "match balancing" like Rickson does?? How does that work?? Is match balancing necessary??

Thanks

I purchased the Vision Wheels and 19. 5 X 2. 25 from Les Swab in Oregon. The tires was only 3/8" taller than the 17 X 265's that was on the SRW 1 ton 2003 Dodge. The only mistake was being talked into purchasing Michelin XZE tires. They had no road grip at all. Wet pavement was like driving on ice. Sold the truck as it needed to be duel rear wheel due to heavier new RV.

I bought mine from Les Schwab too, but in WA. The "match mount" balancing I think is a Rickson trade name, but don't quote me on that. Les Sch. does a similar process they call Road Match balancing, or something to that effect. It took them two times to get my 265 Hankooks balanced correctly. In fact, they couldn't get one tire just right, so they just replaced it with a brand new tire. It was defective, and they stood behind the sale. Very good service I thought. Cheers!

the discount tire website doesn't show any 19. 5 tires or rims . . any idea how to price them? I wanted the 5000lb load rating so a 245 tire is needed and most places are saying $300- $350 a tire?? thats a little much...

i second that nice ride. . those 245s what brand are they? and can you look at the load rating in Lbs for single wheel?

Thanks
