I'm about to install tomorrow (depending on what the answer is here).
I need to tap a switched power source. The Pac Brake instructions say to tap a gray wire under the TIMP module with a scotchlock connnector. I have an aversion to those connectors in any environment that can be subjected to moisture.
1. Can I use the cigarette lighter wire to tap switched power? Or do you have another suggestion?
I'm getting a painless wiring kit from Geno's, but it won't be here until next week sometime. I don't think I have the patience to wait until it gets here to install the brake.
2. Has anyone installed a switch for the ground on the compressor? It seems to me a good idea to have a switch on the compressor. That way if an airline goes bad, or there's a leak somewhere the compressor can be switched off w/o unplugging the fuse.
Thanks!
