Gale Banks Engineering DMax Type D debuts 8. 64 SMOKE FREE!!!!
The world of Diesel motorsports was rewarded with a view in to the future. The long awaited Gale Banks Sidewinder Dmax Type D , rocketed down the track on its third ever pass with a 8. 64 @ 150 MPH pass . As mandated by Gale it was absolutely smoke free, not even a hint.
I watched for the last three days impatiently like a kid waiting for Christmas morning, as final assembly and check outs were accomplished. The engineers and craftsman worked 18 hour days and the results look more like a NASA space project then any race program I have even been a part of. I was in awe of the ability, and the technology that these guys possessed, the fit and finish was more like a Swiss watch. Guys its no wonder the products you work on during the day are the best engineered money can buy. Just like my self these guys for the most part are on their own time.
I have not been behind the wheel for over a year in anything fast, so at my request the first pass was to go to the very capably team driver Wes Anderson. I had one pass and then climbed out of the race car and in to Gale’s waiting supercharged Mercury Marauder, hanging on as Gale maneuvered the streets of L. A. like a road racer , rushed to the airport
This one event will change the way diesel motorsports will been seen from now on , this engine is in reality very streetable and was to be installed in to the D Max type R 24 hour endurance road race truck. I asked, pleaded, begged, and pestered Gale in to making the race in Vegas. This motor will run at full power and full RPM for hours at a time, with Zero Breakage, The future is here and the SMOKE BOYS are served notice.
These 1100 hp motors are available now just call, and for any that might say I’m advertising for GBE , I’m a volunteer , receiving nothing but the opportunity to drive the newest and soon to be the quickest diesel truck on the planet . and coming soon Dmax Digger
