Buying a 14k gooseneck trailer; need some help...

Brake planet.com Any good????

my truck started out as a v-10 after blowing it up with 154,000 miles on it in went the first gen motor, power is wayyyyyy better even before any mods, and as far as mpg's they dont even compare. besides every mod on a gasser for power just costs mpg, every one i have done to the ctd has gained power and mpg's.

Anybody that thinks that turd V10 will out pull a ctd is NUTS!! I borrowed my friends 99 V10 to haul a car and the darn thing would not get out of it's own way!

I've done it up against all 3 Gens (No mods of course) and out pulled all of them. Flat out it will light the tires from the instant you drop the hammer.

An that's at 6,000 feet ASL to

IF you are going to keep it a longe time you might thank about am over/undredrive this will make a very nice towing truck. My soninlaw has one in his 5speed now it is a 10 speed get the same fuel milage as his 06 6 speed diesel on longe runs pulling 40FT box trailers with same weight. Both run air defectors

I bought a 99 v-10 and have since wished I never got rid of it. At over 140k and zero problems I could only wish my '94 2500 diesel had been as reliable a truck. With fuel prices the way they are its definitely not the most economical choice, but it never left me sitting on the side of the road with BIG repair bills.

Nothing wrong with gassers. Just that my wife's 99 Durango 360cid with towing gears gets worse mileage that the 1970 Chrysler Newport Convertible 383 4bbl (yes, that's right, someone is writing about a 4 bbl carb on a diesel website!) I used to have. And the Newport was bigger!

Before I put the flatbed on the Ram, I was getting nearly the same mileage (17. 5 vs his 18) as my co-worker's '02 Ranger. Pretty pathetic in my book.
