I did my rockers a couple of weeks ago. IT LOOKS SHARP. I have a white truck and the black line-x makes a very nice contrast.

Tha is pretty nice, I think I have seen white liner material. They did a real nice job on the inside of the bed and the tailgate. I have XPEL paint protection film on my rocker panels, my friend has a business and that is all he does, the film is basically invisible and will protect from rocks, road debris etc, he enters the model of the vehicle on a machine and it cuts out the pieces to be installed. For stuff like the fenders on a dually he would custom cut it and install it, I like the XPEL alot and you can't see it unless your really close and looking for it.

I like it. It seems to look like it could come from the factory that way. Nice truck. My next one will definitely be a dually, and I think I will have to borrow this bit of Line-X wizardry. Great pics. Thanks for sharing with us.

Looks really sharp:D---had both my front/rear Road Armor bumpers done last spring before the install. I get more comments about the coatings than i do about the bumpers:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:DW

What did that run you?

I thougth I might like my rockers done, but the $1200 bid got me to re-thinking it.

WOW $1200, Line-x of Pittsburgh quoted me $700 to do my rockers & bedliner over the rails. The bottom of my truck will be silver line-x & black bedliner.

I like it. I have 3M paint protectant film on my rockers and they protect against paint chips, but not sure how they will do with dents with the way the sheet metal is so thin nowadays. I may do the rockers someday if I can find someone reasonable.

I remember a while back a thread about Line-X changing their formulation to make the finish stay new-looking and "shiny". Is this the case or was that a temporary thing they were trying out?

I did my truck as well, over the rail liner, full rockers, under the fender flares (the paint was being rubbed through after 6 months, and my rear bumper. everything except the box was painted to match the truck(Atlantic blue). One of the best add ons I've done, protects everything, nice job on yours. :)

I went with rhino lining on my rocker panels. Cost me $395 vs. $1000 for line-x. I like the line-x in the bed but the rhino lining is more durable on the bottom. Personal opinion

Well, technically speaking, Rhino is not more durable than LINE-X. LINE-X is 70 pounds per liner inch stronger than Rhino and LINE-X has a 50 degree higher temperature tolerance. Then, on top of that, add the optional LINE-X Xtra product that's fortified with Dupont Kevlar and Rhino doesn't really even come close.

Someone mentioned Road Armor. Here's a RA front grill that just had LINE-X with black LINE-X Xtra applied to it.

What he said!

I had Rhino in my last Dodge and Linex in this one. Linex is much tougher. The black on white on my pick-up really looks sharp, matches the door handles and mirrors and all.

How do you like the Reese? Is that the one with the "hockey puck" inserts in the bed?

my whole deal on the bedliner/linex deal is try to keep it clean/stock looking as long as possible, then line it before selling it if it's that bad.

I really do like the way it looks though

We see this sort of thing almost weekly. Rock chips in the powdercoating which will lead to rust if it's made of carbon steel (which most are). Also, the powdercoating fades after a year or two.

So, if you apply LINE-X with Xtra, then no rock chips and no fading.
