Could someone tell me how to remove the plastic cover to replace the bulb for my 06 MC? I figured out how to remove the two rear dome covers but not the front. I did not want to risk breaking the clear plastic lens. Also what type bulbs does it use? The middle and the back uses two different bulbs.

Did you look in the owners manual? That's were I would start.

Yep I’ve already tried it with no luck. The manual says: “Using a small thin-bladed screwdriver, gently pry

between each side of the lamp lens and the overhead console housing (1) to unsnap the pivot tabs (3) on the lens from the pivots in the lamp housing. 3. With the lens disengaged from both pivots, pull the front of the lens forward far enough to disengage the tab (2) on the rear edge of the lens from the slot in the rear of the overhead console lamp housing. 4. Remove the lens from the housing”.

I thought there was some kind of trick I don’t know about. I already put a deep gouge on one of the lens trying. The middle dome has two 212-2 bulbs and the back is a single 578 bulb. I wonder what the fronts are. I’ve got to get that thing opened. #@$%!

If you look toward the front of the cover you can see the little "pivots" on each side. The cover snaps around these and they are tight. On either side of each "snap" is a notch. You want to pry right there with something very slim. It does not need to be something flat. It needs to be something that is thin enough to go into that little slot. You will have to pry both sides/pivots off. Don't try to pull it out until both sides are popped off of the pivots. The tab toward the back needs to be inserted/removed when the pivots are unsnapped. It'll make sense once you get one out.
