Does anyone know if Offroad Warehouse still offers a TDR discount on the Bilstein shocks? Can't seem to find it on their website.

Thanks,

A number of members had a bunch of trouble (look in archives) with Off Road Warehouse several years ago - me included - I think I would look elswhere for your shocks - - Just remember the thrill of a cheap price wears off real quick

when poor business dealings over shadow the deal.

Warranty claims with Offroad were a PITA. . . you have to buy another set of new shocks, send yours in, only to have the warranty denied because they claim Bilstein tested them and said they're fine. Happened to me with my blue & yellow shocks with only 25k on them, rt front tire was bouncing excessively thanks to one almighty pothole I found in Kennesaw Georgia. The left side wasn't much better. . . new shocks totally cured the problem.

Other places will take your word for it and replace the Bilsteins, make sure of that if you're getting the blue/yellow ones since they have a mediocre lifespan. My 2nd set of Bilsteins have a little over 20k and are about done.

I'm going to try something else. The first set wore out I think because of the rough freeways and turnpikes back east. The current set I think partly due to a couple rounds of pretty hard off roading. I'm not the only one who's had disappointing results with the blue & yellow Bilsteins, the other Bilsteins are considerably better from what I've read.

Vaughn,

Same results here. I have the blue/yellow HDs on my dually. I do have a leveling kit and the leveling kit and shocks were on the truck when I bought it. I don't think that these are made for the 2" lift I have so that might be a factor.

Either way, I like the silver/black 5100s better myself and that is what I ordered this time. I ran those on my 2001 2500 truck with a leveling kit and they lasted a long time and rode great.

I hope I have good luck with them on this truck, too.

Shock Warehouse.com would be my second choice, as both are pretty competitive with the other. Just make sure you are being quoted the right shock.

Thanks for the replies guys. The shocks were for my dad's truck and ended up going to a local guy and got the BDS shocks. So far he really likes them.

Thanks,
