G30 Recall Done WOW

Had G30 done Friday. No problems so far. What is the G30 Recall? the service desk says it has to do with emission, got to be more. Maybe they don't know.

Delivery Date: 8-30-07 Miles: 150

G30: 11-16-07 Miles: 1,236

From what I understand they flash the truck with the AU software if not already done and the 02 sensor module gets replaced it's 4 bolts and one connector on the passenger side frame rail near the front door

I already had my au software. the 02 sensor module took about 2 minutes to replace.

traction control

What is this traction control?



I have a LSD rear diff does this mean there is an electrical sensor that monitors wheel spin?

I actually had a conversation with the diesel tech at my dealer, and he informed me that the oxygen sensor is not even in the engine control loop. It is only there for diagnostic purposes. Apparently the old modules may not throw a code when they should, so it is not surprising that some people may get codes soon after having the recall performed.

Yes they have a traction control in the computer that senses when traction is lost in one wheel or the other to put the power to the non spinning wheel.

Well the dealer did the recall on Monday and towed with it on tuesday and went on a 200 mile trip today and it is not any better than before! same bad milage,went into regen 2 times while towing 12 miles! If anything the milage went down overhead was reading 13. 7 on the 200 mile trip all fwy.

13. 7 is good! I tow all the time around 4k and If I get 11 thats good. I dont think the G30 will change mileage.

No the 13 was empty! towing was 10. 9!
