I downloaded and am updating my Smarty with this right now.

Wish me luck

Well I took the long way to work today with the new 12-5-07 SW loaded up on Level 5 Mild TM.

I still notice some rattle, however it probably isn't quite as bad. It fuels to 3,500RPM, but the WG is still acting stock. Maybe worse, I can't even hit 30PSI.

JCasper,
of course you don't see raised boost!
You have downloaded the stock injectors and turbo SW! The xxx. A version.
If you want more boost then you need the aftermarket turbo version which is the xxx. B

Marco,

What are your thoughts on running the SW ... B with a stock turbo? What are the chances of killing the stock turbo?

So Marco, If I run the aftermarket turbo SW is that similar to the Beta X I tried? I could get 38psi with level 5 of the beta?

If not which SW is the closest to the Beta? I am hooking to 13,000lbs in the morning and want to load whatever is closest to the beta tonight. Hopefully with just a touch less timing.

Bob and/or Marco.

So, you guys claim 230hp eh? is 230hp now level 9? or did you make a level 10?

I'm currently flashing the latest Smt4V411AD311A36 file.

Just curious as to how the new level #'s vs HP #'s match up.

JeffKing,

On our STOCK 06 truck I've pushed the boost past 50 Psi more times than I can think off. I have done the testing for ALL softwares with that truck. No problems with the stock turbo.

Now, I don't want to say that it is save to run a 170Hp software on a stock turbo with abusive driving / hot rodding all the times. We need to talk about it with a grain of salt... but the real world has shown that it CAN be done IF the driver knows what he's doing.

Makes sense?

Marco

I have a question about the after market turbo software.

If I run my TST box with boost fooling on, does that matter much to run the after market turbo software or not?

The most I've seen outa my 04. 5 stock turbo, and only the smarty was 40psi. With the TST on, 4hp/0tq/2rail I've seen up to about 45-ish. but the roads are a little slick/salty so I wasn't going much more then 70mph.

JCasper,

the 2. 11. B is what you want. It's the final version of the "beta410b" with a slightly revised timing ( lower, less noise )

Here:

Or if you want even less noise the aftermarket injectors aftermarket SW

Here:

Yet, keep one thing in mind . Less timing & noise , less MPG.

Helps?

P. S. both links are for the Smarty S-04! I assume you have an S-04

So, how much timing does hte after market injector program take out? 3? 6? 9?

Wonder if the TST box can dynamically add that extra timing in when needed vs the smarty to keep things from rattling to much.

What size injectors are needed before aftermarket injector download is needed. I'm running flux 1's. Are these large enough to need reduced timing or still close enough to stock it isn't needed. Want the most timing I can handle safely. Can Bob or Marco please chime in on this. I have asked it several times with no educated answers recieved, just guesses and speculations from people who aren't running flux 1's.

Thanks

This is the Beta I had loaded. Smt3V312CD210B

If I load the first SW you linked me too it will be similar to this?

Thanks, Joe

Marco,

Thanks for your reply.

I only run Smarty SW#1 or SW#3 and that is my only mod. So I am guessing that I will not see numbers much over 35 psi with the stock turbo.

Jeff

I know the aftermarket injector programs have less timing than the stock injector programs but do the aftermarket injector programs have more or less timing than the factory program from dodge?

Yes i too want to know about this 230 hp Setting. Is this software been made available yet? I don't need it i was just wondering what the deal is with it. Are there still 9 sw or is it completly different lay out?

Joe, This software should work great for most members. I hope it works for you :D This software hasa little less timing than the beta

I think I'm running the latest Beta, 4V410CD210B36 and is is nice. If I try the newest updates on the MADS site can I go back to the Beta if I wanted to?
