I just bought seven gallon of Chevron Delo 400 CI-4 Plus at Pep Boys in NE Ohio. It's out there but getting harder to find. I find most of mine in small auto parts stores that don't have a large turn over of oil stock.

Good Luck GW

I have enough Rotella synthetic to do about 4 oil changes and I buy a couple gallons a month at a local Wal-Mart

I am able to get the valvoline classic in 5 gallon pails at napa as well as the rotella t in bulk for the shop both in the ci plus rating

No problem getting the CI+4 oil. Still able to buy Chevron Delo and Shell Rotella T in 5 gallon pails at the oil jobber. Ed B

I have been using the Valvoline Premium Blue CI-4 from the day my truck was new per the mfr recomendations. I had been picking up a case of 6 1-gals every time I needed to do an oil change, keeping the extra gals of each case set aside. So I have several cases. You can still get the CI-4 from NAPA in 5 gals, just more of a hsatle dealing with a 5 gal container.

I also have a diesel generator I use the VPB in, so I am going to save all my VPB supply for it and when I do my next oil change on the truck it's getting Amsoil'd with their 15w40 synthetic.

I have been to all stores in NW NM and it all has been CJ #@$%!

I found this too... I needed a couple gallons for my GCF change. Nothing but CJ-4, which didn't bother me because that's what I run anyway. I should have added that I was in Los Alamos when I was getting oil...

I will continue to run CJ-4 until UOAs shows me that it is indeed an "inferior" oil.

Go for Amsoil Heavy Duty Marine and Diesel 15-40, full synthetic and I don't have to go anywhere, it comes to me, CI-4 and looks like they aren't gonna stop production any time soon.

I for one second that motion! 16,000 miles currently Will send to blackstone again at 20,000. At 10,000 the tbn count was 9. 2. I expect a good count again. Heavy Duty and Marine 15-40full syn all the way.....

You shouldn't have any extra oil!

6-1gal jugs = 2 oil changes with no extra!

I live in the East Bay area in California and I can't find ANY CI 4 or CI 4+ anywhere... . it's all CJ4. I got excited when I thought I found some Valvoline Premium Blue that said it was CI 4+... . turned out to be the "impostor" version that they talked about in the latest TDR Issue. I've given up... going the Amsoil route.

No Problem in LAS

I have found no problem at my local Wally for Rotella 5W40 Synthetic CI 4 plus.

In fact, I now have so much of it on my garage shelf, I should open a diesel quick lube :D

Merry Christmas!

Bill

Ci4

I use Kendall oil they still have the CI4 in gal. jugs. By there web page they are making the CJ4 and The CI4. You mite see if you have a Kendall jober around your area.

The Wal-Mart in Burleson has Rotella 5W40 synthetic CI-4Plus, but it looks like that's it. Everything else is CJ.
