I need to change the front pads soon & was wondering what would be a good replacement? Should I go with the factory pads, or is there something better that some of you are using?

Thanks,

J. S. :)

I bought a set of factory front pads (1-V1013267) from the dealer. After 80,000 miles I was still waiting for the original pads to wear out. They had given excellent braking and no noticeable rotor wear so I had no reason to experiment with aftermarket pads.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll go with the factory pads for now; they've performed well & have lasted 50k miles so far. I'd probably get a bit more out of them, but am installing a manual hub conversion from EMS Offroad & figure I might as well change them while it's all apart. Thanks for all of your replys.

napa pads

I used napa lifetime pads both front and rear not bad on rotors cheap on repalcement take them off get new ones. Pull 10k trailer in mountains :)

The yellow pads will stop you but with more wear on your rotors and more brake dust. Next ones I put on my truck will be green.
