Has anyone used the airdog fp-100 from pure flow tech. Is there a difference between the two systems. From the research that I have done, they both claim to do the same function, hook up the same, ect. The lift pump is failing and has ruined the vp44. Getting code po216. My problem is that I have a dealership warranty and do not want the intank pump. Their is price differance of a little over $100. Would like any advise.

I recently bought a fass 150 system and like the whole package. Some might tell you that there loud, that may be the case with the older models but mine makes hardly any noise.

Now if I had to do it again, I would buy an Airdog instead. I've heard that fass has horrible customer service and they refer you back to the dealer you bought it from. I didn't like the fact that on the fass website (Index ) there's no phone number.

I needed my pump in a rush, so when I called Airdog they said that I only had class 8 truck dealers in my area (south FL).

After much researce I bought an AirDog for my 12v repower, although I have not installed it yet. They have a special on right now of $499. Shadrach

I have a Fass and will go airdog next. AD has better CS and better warranty and the install kit is more refined and cleaner.

near anythings better than stock! I have the FASS 150 works great NO issues had on for over a year. has a six year warr. I also hear AIR DOG is a good piece. either way seems win/win!

Good decision on not going with the in tank pump.

I have had the AirDog in since March of 2007 at which time I took my in tank pump out. True, not a long time by no means, but I am very happy with its performance, construction and install procedure, as well as customer service.

I've had my AirDog on for almost 2 years also and it has worked flawlessly. It is a quality made unit and I'm very happy with it.
Regards, Mike.

I have a fass. It's ok, but you don't hear/read of many problems with the airdog at all.

Not sure if its because there are more fass owners out there, but airdog owners seem to have a loyalty that doesnt seem to be as strong with the fass.

Honestly, I would buy two walbro pumps and have them setup as primary & backup (mounted side by side for in case one fails). Thats the way Im going when my fass kicks the bucket someday.

Love my Airdog :)
I have had it now for about three years without any problems. The initial set up was very easy and uncomplicated. The only issue I had at first was trying to find filters but now they are very easy to find. The main reason I purchased it was the ability to be able to heat the fuel easier than the FASS at that time. My move never happen to a colder climate but it has been a great mod.

I'm sorry that if I took this more to heart than you intended, QUOTE]

You sure did... . but that's ok, because I was waiting for someone from DPP to come forward. Now, I know who's my go to guy when my dealer doesn't respond. :D

As I stated earlier, I don't have any problems with my unit, these are just things that I have read on forums.

Not trying to be a brown nose… but I really appreciate the video series on putfile.com about the VP R&R. I will be replacing my VP next week thanks to this video.

Thanks for everyones advice. Purchased the Airdog from pureflow tech. was on sale for $499. I'll let you know how i make out.

I have had nothing but great service from Fass. Dan is willing to go out of his way to do anything nessesary to repair any issue. Yes, thats right everybody has issue now and again. The people that say they dont haven't been in the field long enough or flat out lie. DPP has my vote for great customer service above and beyond the call of duty. Thats my 2 cents.

I love my Airdog too, I just wish they would put filters in the motors for the interference on my CB. Greg I was wondering what you did to heat the fuel. I thought about running through the original filter/fuel heater to accomplish this. I didn't because I didn't want to reduce the line size.

Thanks,
