denser air? just a guess. or it could be on the bad side (slowly dying fuel pump) but i'll cross my fingers and hope for my first guess.

Could it be that you are seeing less smoke now that it is cold since a lot

of places have switched to 'winter blend' fuel in addtion to the cold air??



D1 has less BTU's than D2, and maybe it smokes less too. .

We get excited when it gets warm enought to soot in Alaska because we know summer is coming!!! It was -44 here at work on the north slope last week and the junky old 6. 0's were dropping like flies... ... ... ... ... makes me wish I had my own truck here at work cause it always starts.

Theres nothin like a huge puff of black smoke followed by the white haze of -40 degree weather (-:
 
I have been running the 40 hp setting, and boost hasn't been reduced. It actually appears to come on sooner than with the stock software (which is what I was hoping for).



I'll try the 70 hp setting in the next few weeks.
