after a hard accelaration, if i let off the gas suddenly the motor will die. won't restart unless i crack and bleed the injector lines. i got stock and bd pusher pump with good pressure 20 at wot. is the problem air in the line? would i be better off with an airdog?

your causein cavitation in the pump which is bringing out the small/invisible air bubbles which is makein the air in the lines. Only remidy for that I know of is dont back out so quick

do a search ,the VP44 likes high FLOW but not necceasrily high pressure. It needs only 5psi@ WOT and can only use 14psi. so 10-15psi with larger 3/8" lines will work much better than 25psi in 1/4" lines.

It is fairly common for this to happen with heavily fueled trucks. Feather the throttle when you let off or just let off more slowly. The VP44 gets airbound.

What mods have you done?

I have killed my truck this way, it took forever to re-start. Scared the ***** out of me:eek:

I have done this many times with my truck (when driving like an idot).
To keep my truck from dying, I will push in the clutch, and if the engine begins to die down quick, I will begin to give it gas, possibly reengaging the clutch to keep the engine running.

I am running a FASS 155 with 1/2" lines to the pump (with 1/2" pickup in tank).
I have EDM Stage 4 BullyDog injectors, TST Comp, Smarty, and a HR-VP44 (and a bigger turbo)

I hope the FASS will help you out. I have the 150 FASS, ½” lines and the Draw Straw. No doubt in my mind I needed these things but it didn’t stop the problem.
