I have 180K on my 93. I would like to rebuild the pump. There is a Bosch shop in town(Las Vegas), but I also heard there is a vendor that does a really good job of rebuilding these pumps.

I do need a little more performance. My son-in-law as a 07 Duramax and he is faster than me, so I need a little help.

Tram,

What leads you to think you need a rebuild at this point? Does your IP leak anywhere? Have you done any of the 'free' performance adjustments available on our pumps? Try reading the FAQ's at the beginning of the 1st Gen Forum. Lots of info on "How To". You'll be surprised how you can wake things up with a few pump adjustments. ;)

Aloha,
Matt

He might be a bit faster... but yours will out last his by a long shot if you leave it stock... I would recomend reading some of my past posts on the VE pumps before you let a rebuilder put their hands on your pump... .

A 180 K the only things your pump might need is the 2 large pump springs replaced and a few seals and o rings. I would wait till the truck hit about 230 K before I messed with the pump...

Good luck...

Do you want o BEAT him, or just worry him a bit? :-laf

If you find a builder that will first crank these pumps up to what they are capable of and stand behind their work with a warranty, let the rest of us know also. ;)

To compete you will need pump mods, injectors, and turbo for the power. Now you have to get it to the ground so depending on transmission you have another area to address.

Ask yourself these questions first; How fast do ya wanna go? How much $$$ are you willing to spend?

Answer those questions and we can help. :)

PDR, Industrial Injection, Scheids Diesel and Columbus Diesel are a few that can do performance rebuilds.

You could also just have a bosch shop do a stock rebuild and then tune it from there.

If you really want to beat him... ... ... beat him$$$$$$$$$. :-laf:-laf:-laf

Stroke this 07; You ever get any video in Utah?
