Smarty download problems

Hey guys, I've had my smarty for a few months now and have been running it on level 9 religously. I tried to go into the mads website to download some new settings and I can't do it. Not sure why. My computer is pretty new and I have the windows vista, and am not sure if the vista is the problem. Please help, this is one of the main reasons I bought the smarty, so it could grow with the truck, and it's getting real frustrating sitting on the computer trying to make it work and it won't. Anybody know what I might be doing wrong, or maybe what I should try? Also, what are the most powerful settings to download? My truck has the six speed, with a boost fooler, afe stage II intake, and stock clutch which is holding up with no problem with the smarty on 9. I want more power, and want to get as much as I can out of my $$$ smarty first. All suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

All the files come zipped you have to unzip the File with the 7z442 program. Open unzipped file with the SmartyUSB program, Send to the Smarty.

If you have the S-04 Smarty you have to use the S-04 programs only.
If you have the S-06 Smarty you have to use the S-06 programs only.

Well, I'm not really sure what you mean, but I followed the directions completly and it still does'nt work. Is what you're saying not in the instructions? Thanks

I just went thru this the other day. The instructions are terrible to follow if you're not familiar.

You need a 7z program to unzip the files. I goolged 7unzip or something like that to find the program. It's free.

Once you have that program and have downloaded the Smarty software you want to use, you can unzip the file that you downloaded from Mads' site. That will provide you with the ". smt" file. When it asks you where you want the file to go, just let it put it wherever it wants to if you don't have a specific location in mind. But be sure to note where it's going so you don't have to hunt for it later.

Next you need "SmartyUSB" which is found on the bottom of Mads' download page. Download and install it. Run it. Go to "file", click "open" and then find the Smarty file which you just unzipped, the ". smt" one, not the "7z" one.

Crap, I forgot. You also have to unzip the driver file which is on Mads' site.

I hope I haven't confused you too much. It took me about an hour to get mine up and running. The worst part is when you find out that it takes 37 minutes to upload the new software to the Smarty. I though it would be faster.

more power, get a copy of 4. 4 from bob wagner, disconect the boost fooler.

be prepaird to spend $ on a clutch.

O. K I finally got it to work. I downloaded the wild torque for the aftermarket turbo and injectors even though I don't have either of these, just figured that it would give me the most. Well, my truck seems to be very responsive with just touching the throttle, and does'nt really do much more when it is floored. The smoke is less, but it does have a bit more power. Also does it change all your settings (0-9) to wild torque, or is it just #9. Not really sure but I just set it right to 9. Also it had the mph thing that I just set to 250. What exactly is this setting for, and what is the benefit of it? How do I get a copy of the 4. 4, and why would it not be on the mads site? Sorry for all the questions but I'm just trying to figure all of this out, and trying to get the most bang for my buck out of the smarty. Thanks again!!
