Well I've given up on issues with smarty and all the updates, so I would like opinions on TST and EDGE JUICE. Both of these units sound great but I would like to hear from someone with a stock or at least close to stock truck that have actually been lucky enough to have run both so as to have a comparison. I do plan on doing something to help with the fuel delivery problem before I go with either upgrade. Truck is a 2000 3/4 4x4 5 speed with an old edge box used as my daily driver and to haul trailers now and then. I bought the SMARTY not to long after they came out, but just never was very happy with it no matter what setting it was on. The edge box actually does a better job at pulling a load down the road than the SMARTY on any setting on MY truck. Like most of you, I would like a little more power, but I prefer more of smooth progressive type. I would appreciate your opinions and experiences with either of these upgrades. Thanks.

The new quad Adrenaline will have a commander monitor available. It is like the Attitude, but will have more options like cold weather protection where the box won't add power until the coolant temps exceed 170*. It has the lowend of Smarty with the topend of the TST or Juice. It also has egt defueling set at 1250* & it doesn't cut power off completely like most boxes, but gradually & smooth to keep egts in check.

The attitude has engine protection on it also if I remember correctly. The new quad box does seem to have some promise also.

I didn't know that, but the quad will be fully adjustable to whatever temp that you want. Does the Attitude do that?

I don't think it is adjustable. The attitude has some cool features, but it sounds like the quad especially if they get the monitor with it is a cool package.

How many gages can be displayed on the quad's display?

It is a awesome package for sure. The commander will have a 4 display screen & will be adjustable as to which ones are displayed.

Thanks for the info. on the QUAD. Any idea when the monitor will be out?

Quad said in a post on DTR that the beta testers will see the commander in the next 3 weeks & if all checks out, they will be in production.

Cummins724, I just read about the ADRENALINE on the Quad site. Wow, this thing seems to have it all. Priced better than I would have thought also. From what I understand the adrenaline is already available? I know you said it has low end power like smarty, but does it continue to pull on through the rpm's or just die off like smarty? Also, this place is only about 2 1/2 hours from home.

The Adrenaline has a waiting list, not being released yet, but soon. It pulls just as hard as my Drag comp right now & I'm only running the production tune. Quad hasn't released the comp files yet. I'm not sure where it does defuel, because I am running stock springs & don't want to push it over 3200-3400rpm. Guys have said that they had it to 3600-3700 & it didn't drop off. I can't give much more info because quad won't allow it, but all I can say is that you are not gonna believe this box! Stage 3 of the beta testing is gonna be unreal & I know it seems like it is taking forever, but it will be worth the wait, trust me.

So back to the real issue on this thread.

I have no experience with the PM3, but do have GREAT experience with the Juice/Attitude. I have had Edge products on my truck since it was 2 months old. Started with the EZ, then the Comp, then the Drag Comp, and now the Juice/Attitude. The only issue I ever had was with the Attitude display, in that it had a microscopic dark spot in the screen. Edge replaced it free of charge/shipping.

I love my Juice/Attitude, great for towing, sled pulling, etc. It's smooth and reliable in my opinion.

Never had experience with Edge, but the Juice/Attitude is a nice unit. I drove a 98 5 speed truck in 03 or 04 that was straight piped and had the PowerMax 2 on it. That drive alone sold me on the TST... too bad the PMCR doesnt work on my 07. When I get a 24 valve, the first mod after straight pipe will be the TST PowerMax 3 and some gauges (dont want the ones on the remote. ) I was really impressed with the little bit of time behind the wheel...

Thanks for the replies guys. Keep them coming.

'stroke This 07' - Curious what you don't like about the gauges on the remote?

I just prefer the traditional gauges instead of LED displays. Nothin wrong with them, just a personal preferance of mine... of course the power level is LED, but as far as egt/boost gauges and others, I like the round mechanical ones.

TST

Edge

Quadzilla

All these boxes will add appromixemately the same Hp.

I have a TST. I know it can defuel on EGT, depending upon the remote you get. It can also defuel below stock fueling. The EGT ramp down is controlled and deliberate and not harsh. The vanilla TST I have is fairly mind mannered with smoke. It waits until 5 psi boost to start fueling hard. You can buy competition upgrades for them as well. IMO a very solid performer and has given me zero issues.

But... .

IMO if I was going to go with something new I would most likely go with Quadzilla. Their stuff is the most updated as well as the easiset on the pocket book. The Adrenaline should be out very soon.

I noticed in older post about people having issues with codes being set off from these modules, have they got this worked out or is it to still be expected.
