On the topic of mpg. My daily driver 96 Regal 3. 8 with 147k was getting 31 mpg average, has dropped to 28. 5 mpg since cold weather has arrived. I checked the tire pressure and it was low. Reason I believe, the last time I aired up my tires the ambient temp was in the low 90's. Winter temps will bring down air pressure. Will report findings later.
I think every filling station should have free air.
The following is not intended to start a union discussion.
Those of you with C. B. radios. The next time you are close to a group of truckers key the mic. and say " If you guys would go on strike the fuel prices would come down". About %75 of the replies agreed with me. Some did say they were living paycheck to paycheck and could not afford a strike. One driver said "If all these trucks were to stop something would change".
I am not a union member but I think the power lies in the trucker hands.
I am sick of high fuel prices.
