Has anyone here stacked the two? I am looking at getting rid of the 6-gun for the mp-8. will there be much of a difference?

I have not used either one, but you want to stack chips that do different things. The banks does timing and pressure. The mp-8 does pressure. The smarty does duration and opptional timing. So smarty and mp-8 shoud stack well together. I use Edge juice for timing and duration, the EZ for pressure. Hope this helps.

let me know how it goes... what transmission upgrades are you doing? I have an upgraded valvebody and TC from HTS so far its holding great

I have the Jr and my mp-8 stacked and it works very well. But for now I generaly keep the mp-8 turned down since i have sliped the stock transmission a few times just having fun.

Will do, itll be March or April before I get it, cause Im goin to Vegas for the NASCAR race so any extra $$ is goin to that! I ordered up a full billet HTS race trans the other day. Billet input/intermediate/output, Suncoat convertor, billet flexplate, pretty much the whole works!! I cant wait, never knew I could be so excited having to shell out that kinda money to fix a broken-down truck, but now Ill finally be able to try Wild TM on Smarty and then the race tune when its released.

If you have a auto trans you should stay away from smarty go with tst the smarty has to aggressive of a pedal with the smarty when you are at 50% throttle you are really at 100% you dont get any more fuel that is the only problem with smarty it does make good power but it does not like auto trans

that is just what I have found I am sure there are alot of people that will not agree I am just trying to help try a different tuner

That is why they offer different TQ managment softwares from stock TQ to wild. Also the new programs as well as the slightly older betas do fuel pressure already.

what does tq have to do with pedal feel 50% throttle is 50% throttle it should not be 100% fuel at 50% throttle I have a very well built trans but we where only seeing 100 psi of line pressure at half throttle that did go up a little at full throttle but it was not enough as yo know with the tst we are seeing 180 to 200 psi I am not saying that smarty does not make good power because I love the way it felt once you learn how to drive it I am just saying that a auto trans and the smarty are not the best of friends smartys are truly great for standard trans not the best for autos

I just bougt a new one that has a ts mp-8 on it and i provided the smarty. I dont like the smarty. I found they dont live up to their claims. My PPE HOT1 for my other 04. 5 uploads faster and it was a better stack with the mp-8. want my smarty you can have it. drop me a line if you want it and see for yourself.

I dont know what tm yall are running, but my smarty feels great thourghout the throttle position. If your transmission doesnt like it, because it fuels so good on the bottom end. I bet you can detect your PPE by the dealer! I have had more problems with a tst than any chip ever used. Always throwing codes, truck running bad unexplained problems. With the new downloads for the smarty EGT's are way down, smoke is way down, power is awesome. The Smarty has so many different programs availble for you to custom tune your truck just where you want it. Bottom line Smarty is constant thoughout the rpm range, I don't understant what you mean when you say once you learned how to drive with it. It feels stock just way stronger. Not to mention Bob is wonderful customer services, and nothing means more to a customer than service after the purchase!

I was running the beta software egt's are not a issue because I have twins on my truck I am also not saying anything about bob or marco or anybody else If you do not think that the throttle pos. is not an issue then you must be running a diff. vers. of the software must be more refined or not as wild

Just curious which claims arent lived up to? And Id put money that Smarty would throw down on your PPE... nothin against PPE, they have good stuff, but as far as Dodges, theyre stuff isnt like the Duramax stuff they offer.

Theres very few people out there that dont like Smarty, so it surprises me when guys post they dont... but everybody has different tastes. My pedal at half is half. Those issues were on early versions, and have since been fixed long ago...

Cclark, on your issues with TST, whats the build date of your truck? Just curious if its the known issues with 6/06 and later trucks... ?

When I had the Beta 4. 4 my throttle was waaay touchy. Made the transmission shift screwy too. Now I'm running the 4x software and it is great. Pedal is normal, transmission shifts as it should and smoke is way less than the regular softwares. Only downside is that the power is down some too. :{

I understand what you are saying but the torque managment software has alot to do with pedal "feel". I bought a smarty when they first came out and did not like it but they have improved over time. Hey I sold my first smarty to a manual truck guy too. My truck is auto, and I really like the way it drives with the smarty but I also run a "very tight" converter so for me ay least... . no complaints. The beta that I am currenlty running 4. 2 is almost perfect for my combo. But I will say this... . what combination you run in the truck has alot to do with how it runs. Turbo and injector just to name a few.

i had an early 03 and an early 06 both of them are sold now, so its not really a big deal. are the issues with the late 06's solved yet?

I had heard that they figure it out, but still have to implement the changes. Now whether thats true or not I dunno. I hope it is as Id love to add TST to the mix!
