Owned truck 6 mo now, 6. 7 automatic, 1st the electronic throttle sensor, then 02 sensor, thermostat and now the ck engine light keeps coming on. 5 flashes,mpg has dropped from 18 mpg to 8. 9 mpg and nobody seems to know what to do about it. drove it less than 70 miles after last flash and the engine light is on again. is there any fix to it? it is breaking my pocket i want to retire but i can't. what happened to the 300,000 - 500,000 miles?

Something is not right here (with the 6. 7's). It seems that you either love the truck as it is performing flawlessly with great mileage or your having troubles and poor mileage. Are there two different "batches" of 6. 7's (ie. those made in Mexico vs. those made in Detroit), are there different companies making the PCM's, ECM's, etc.



Just a thought.

just went to the shed and looked and it was made in Mexico!! so what kind of headache am i looking at or how do they fix it?

there all made in Mexico whats the difference looks to me like all the troubles are with the early truck's 07. 5 ?

my 08 has been trouble free for over 11,000 miles and going take your's back to dealer and tell them to fix it .

I would keep really good records on the repair attempts and then consider a buyback under the lemon law if they cannot fix it.

All of the 6. 7 engines are assembled in Columbus, IN. The trucks in Saltillo Mexico and St. Louis, but St. Louis only does 4dr, standard cab, 4X4's... . I'm not sure if St. Louis makes anymore now though. From what I can tell the same companies make the parts available when the truck is new and those available through Mopar

There are numerous reports of great power and no problems, but no one is getting "great" milage from what I have read.

I have a late 07 with the 6. 7 and have had only one problem with it throwing a code for the thermostat. Dealer didnt really know why it came up. Other than that i have had no trouble and really love my new truck.

just over 5k on my truck now,haven;t changed the oil yet,no codes... no CEL,seems to run fine!!!!... ... ... ... tom..... go figure!
