I have installed a Banks Big Hoss on my 99 Dodge Ram2500 and am looking for suggestions as to what else I should add to increase horsepower and fuel mileage. Which gauges and possibly a new air intake. Thanks Keith

Gauges?

Electric Fuel pressure for sure, Boost Pressure 2nd, Trans in you have an auto, or Pyrometer, to make sure your EGT's are in check,

I have seen optix gauges on ebay recently for below market prices.

Gauges first (fuel pressure, egt & boost) & a transmission or clutch upgrade would be advisable. After the tuner the next item for power would be larger injectors. A drop in Pro Guard 7 is a good first step up for the filter.

If you have a programmer that taps the pump wire, be weary, if you are running with a stock fuel system. I had a quadzilla xzillaraider hooked up to mine, but had stock injectors, lp in stock location, a nightmare. I was warned that it would take the VP out but didnt pay attention to anyone, sure enough it did. I installed the vulcan big line fuel kit which relocated my lp to framerail, and before I even think about tapping the pump again, I'm gettin atleast RV275 injectors, learn from my mistake, dont pay to replace that expensive VP-44. Also, as everyone esle has stated, definitely get a fuel pressure gauge, the westach was an easy install, put mine in the dash where the 'cubby' hole was, the mounting plate came with it free when you get it from genos

Make certain that you upgrade the fuel system. Look at the FASS, it is a good all around fuel system, I would recommend the 150 system with the filters.

I noticed a reference to an electrical fuel pressure gauge above. I would strongly suggest an Isspro Mech. Gauge. They do not fail. If you use a good quality hydraulic hose, it will never break.

You need a boost and pyrometer gauge also. Put the pyro gauge before the turbo.

To be completely honest, don't buy any more Banks stuff. There is/are many better options for these trucks at much better prices, and are significantly better quality.
