My brother has an early 2001 and he feels a slight power surge in the throttle and after taking it to service people they told him he has to replace the linkage from the pedal to the throttle body and it will cost $750. 00. Antybody have a suggestion as to a more economical fix?

First off tell him to get it away from their VERY fast and second send us more info on the truck so we can help you better.

Make sure they change the blinker fluid!

Be a good brother and do not let those people near his truck. We have members everywhere and we can find you a competent mechanic and depending on where you are a jedi master might be available.

Talked to my brother again and the surge in the throttle goes away when in cruise control but comes back when he shuts it off. He has looked in the manual and the best he can determine is it might be the throttle body sensor.

Would any one have a mechanic to recomend around the longview Washington area?

Thanks
