Transfer Case Mounts

I replaced the transfer case mounts with poly mounts today. I do not know what conversion kit was used by a PO to install the NV4500 in my truck but, it must have been very cheap! Of course the extra HP?TQ that the truck now makes and the 3300 rpm power shifts may have contributed to the metal fatigue. Here are some pictures of the transfer case adapter, or what is left of it. the yellow marks are cracks. In the other picture you can see where the bolts had almost pulled through.

Here is my version of a NV4500 transfer case mount that I made it out of 3/8" flat stock. Now if I break this one, the only logical thing to do is make it out of 3/4" I'm thinkin'!:-laf

Now you are talking!! O love overbuilding things. In this case I see why. That mount was a bit scary no?

Yeah it was scary after I realized how close I was to doing some major damage if it had left loose! Thank you Bruce for hooking me up with the poly mounts and after looking at your pictures I feel a little embarassed to have posted mine, very nice fab work! Now to get some poly motor mounts.

Tim, were exaclty did you get the poly mounts. i read a fair amount about them in the other post that mentioned them, but i dont remeber it being clear weither they were from summit or the guy that makes them himself? you mind sharing where you came by yours? they will fit the getrag/np205 setup i assume?

Thanks for the props. The old Dodge now has a NP203/205 doubler adapted to the 518, so the crossmembers needed a little more beef!
If you get a line on the motor mounts let me know, and I'll do the same.

jensen nice setup. . I want to do the same with the doubler. . I see northwest fab there. . nice. . only issue i have is the 29 splins on the getrag and my np205. . they didn't make any np203 range boxes with 29 splines. . and I haven't found any one to make a29 to 23 spline coupler for me. . I really would like a 203 range box with my 205 and g56 . . oh well. . any ideas?

im very interested... im not sure of your location. but if you know what the shipping would be and would be willing to quote me a price for the mounts and shipping id be glad to send you a check. had you run the truck with them in? (theyre much stiffer and tighter than rubber mounts right?) i assume you have the right and left lower/upper mounts and the metal sleeves for each? i dont know if yours is auto or manual. mines the getrag. does it make a difference for using the mounts?
