Has anyone with a PRXB installed, tried adding a CFM+ and cool tubes with a Turbo Air Guide? Wondering if there is going to be install compatiblity issues? Already talked with Jelag, he was a great help with the PRXB, but he doesn't do aftermarket modes on his trucks so I'm going to the best source for that advice, LOVE TDR!!!!!

I can not see that the other mods will affect the pac as is fits on the exhaust. The CFM+ and cool tubes go on the intake side. I run an inline pac with my twins and recomend a exhaust brake to all cummins owners.

I have the Cool Blue Hose & TAG, no problem, they are on the inlet side of the turbo. I have the GDP Intake Horn, no problem mounting the compressor

The brake itself is easy to install, the instructions and pics are good to go. You will LOVE the brake.

I never had any problems with my first Pac brake but when I got the Super B special turbo I had to change to the PXRB inline pacbrake.

As long as you have the stock turbo you should be fine

CFM+ won't fit w/o moving the compressor. Go with the GDP horn. That's what I'm doing...

Unless I am missing something I don't understand this comment. The intake horn is on the other side of the engine. Why would you have to move the compressor for either.

GDP - Glacier Diesel Power

If you go to the PacBrake website in their technical information you will find the installation instructions. The compressor mounts using the outboard/front bolt of the intake horn for mounting. If you are installing it on a stock truck with no modded intake horn it will fit just fine, it also fits just fine with the GDP horn, it will not fit just fine with the other types of aftermarket intake horns.

I mentioned that I had the GDP intake horn and that it mounted fine with it just in case you (or someone else) was curious about it fitting with that horn.

There is also a post here on this site about the GDP intake horn and it having been dyno'd, excellent information about the horn and it's functioning on our trucks.

Okay, I get it... the PAC compressor. I am using the compressor from my airbags which is mounted where my stock air filter used to be. BTW, I have a GDP horn on it's way, but I bought it becuase it seemed to be the best value not because of a fitment issue.

Aaron

I did not buy the GDP horn because of a fitment issue with the Pac compressor. While it might/could have been a consideration, I know mounting brackets or locations for things can always be changed. I have the GPD 2-micron fuel filtration also. Since I was so pleased with the filter product and Richard had a nicely made, functional horn, it seemed as though it was an excellent choice when I bought it. The PacBrake came after installing the intake horn. All 3 mount up real nice with one another, clean installs with no messing around.

Thanks everyone for your input.

CDonaldson: Have you checked the flow rates etc on other intake manifolds? Curious if they make a difference in throttle response and acceleration besides just looking pretty? The GDP graph is awfully close to the stock intake it seems to me. Can the driver feel the difference? The banks and CFM+ seem in the pictures to be bigger than the GDP. Bigger is better? or just more expensive?
