Well thanks for the info ED I did not know it came out so I called my live in girlfriend and she said it is in her car... Do yall think I need to replace the accumulator too?? Where Do I get the oil for it???

I was going to change my evap. core then decided I didn't need ac that bad.

:-laf you must not be from Texas... . LMFAO

I plan on doing this job on Tuesday... I have three days off so I plan on taking my time and having a couple cases of good ole Budlight, to help me through it...

I just got the oil at Napa... the drier is pretty cheap, may as well replace it was my thought no AC yet here, replaced mine back in December but it is snowing right now...
I will send you the instructions.
windshield out would be nice.

Here are som pics of the evap core and heater core I pulled out of my 98 12 valve... I am not quite done cause the PAG oil my girl friend went and got was in a compressed can... So tomorrow I will go buy the right stuff... Also all of the foam gaskets that were on all the ac ducts was falling apart so I will be replacing them tomorrow as well... So far the job in not near as hard as I thought it was... I am also glad that I replaced the evap core cause it had a lot of nasty hair and dirt in it, Seriously I cant believe the ac even blew through it... I was going to replace the dryer, but the one that I bought from rock auto is a little bit smaller and the mounting bracked off of the oem one will not tighten on to it... I will try to post more pics tomorrow. .

heater/ac

I am probably going to do the evaporator and the heater core on my 96 3500 . I helped my nephew do the heater core on his 97 3500 and the job went really well. The job looks that it will take more than the 3 hours that it took the 2 of us to do just the heater core on his truck. I was wondering the cost of your parts that you used . I have 1 price so far for Mopar parts.

The I cant remember. . I bought everything from rockauto.com. . I like the quality of everything I got. . The only thing is the dryer is too small. . I will be sending that back...
