Looking for Air Cross Over Tube for 6BTA

Powdercoating

Anyone know what these ARP 625"s will hold for PSI on a stock headgasket---i guess they can be torque to 150-160 range. I'm thinking of moving up to the BD twins and according to there website that the towing twin require no head modifications. I really don't want to put a 0ring head in until she pops---then just go with the full 9 yards---Orings/ported/valve job/springs/push rods-10 over gasket etc---no need to take the head off until i have to. I think the BD twins are gated to 45-50PSI. Any comments or experiences are appreciated. Thanks DW

I do believe you should be fine considering that with stock head bolts they say you are getting dangerously close running around 50 lbs of boost. The arp studs are way stronger then the stock head bolts.

Do you feel lucky?:D
Give it a shot! I personally think if you bring them up to 160 you are going to do ok:)

PS dont pay more then $900~ish, some sites still have the old pricing up for them.

Thanks so far----900. 00ish---where--PLEASE,cheapest so far are 999. 00 on PURE DIESEL POWER----might have to give Olee at Power by Poole a ring or any other member suggestions?????THANKS DW

I think youd be ok as well. Ive ran that much psi with a small turbo and stupid high drive pressure and EGT, with stock bolts and gasket! No probs yet with well over 200K miles.

I think it's pretty safe to run the regular 12mm arp's with the stock gasket into the 60 psi range. Myself and others have been doing so for quite awhile, and it seems to be pretty safe. Of course, timing, drive pressure, proper warm-up time, head and deck tolerance from the factory all come into play as well.

With the 625s and 45 - 50 psi boost, I'd say you've got a pretty big safety margin! --Eric

Regular ARP 12mm studs have held over 90psi of boost on multiple runs before letting go at ~108psi with a stock MLS 3rd gen gasket. Mine has no problem with the 80psi it sees occasionally. I don't think the 625's are worth the extra money for a street truck.
