Intake horn, FBD grid heater delete, and intake cover are off to be polished

Thea head is gone being decked and cleaned upOo.

might want to reinforce that intake horns bolt holes before the polish. Can we get a pic of the ports when the head comes back? are you doing fire rings? thanks and keep us posted on the progress!!

Thanks guys!!

The intake is temporary... my other intake Ive got the water/meth nozzles up close to the grid heater... well Im going to try and see if spraying the W. M on in the Innercooler Pipe (just before the intake horn) will help me any... I think it will be a better mix instead of right next to the motor. But Ill have to dyno back to back to see if it changes anything.

Ill try and get some more pics of the polish, I tried some PRE/POST pics but my camera is too shatty and they didnt come out#@$%!

If you still want to speak to Adam i can get a hold of him for you or maybe answer any questions for you.

The hardest part of the swap was the fuel lines. You have to mount your MAP sensor somewhere because the CR head dosent have a fitting for it. (the intake horn works)

Thanks Jason,

I talked with Adam a while ago before I picked up the head. I bought the custom cross-over tubes to accept the stock VP fuel lines... . Id like to mount the MAP and IAT sensor in the intake cover... . but I wont be able to do that until its back in the truck

we tried that but found there wasnt enough room once the fuel lines were in, unless you used some type of riser. There might be room for one in front of the first line.

Adam used the ports on the back of the ATS intake horn. With them back there it looked cleaner. Adams truck had a bunch of NOS lines and wirelooms all over so it was kinda crowded.

Nah, but Ian's got it right. You can put the MAP and IAT sensors anywhere. My IAT is next to my filter minder.

Leave the ports in the head for the fun stuff like propane, NOS or water...

Wonder what that old head is worth, Ian?

I have no clue but scrap prices are up though:rolleyes:

as far as moving the IAT and MAP sensors did the wires have enough stretch in them to reach the intake horn?

Thanks

Ian

I rolled the rig out of hibernation to power wash the engine... turned out pretty good, Now hopefully I wont be covered in oil every time I work on the darn thing.
