how to clean aux tank?

I have noticed both the dmax and PSD have vents that look to allow air into the exhaust stream just before it exits at the tip, I was wondering what the purpose of this is?? if anything else it should put more fresh air into the exhaust before it leaves the tailpipe thus giving the appearance of less smoke not a bad idea to help with perceptions of diesels, I was wondering if emissions are tested on these at the end of the exhaust tip and some how allowing this fresh air in could help the trucks pass emissions easier??

As far as I know the only reason is to cool the exhaust gases. A regenning truck in a traffic jam could be bad for the guy stuck next to you.

I thought I read somewhere that it is to lower the temp of the exhaust, especially during regen. The GMC/Chevy look ridiculous, like a rocket nozzle.

Don't laugh yet there are rumours starting that the Dodges may get some type of retro fit

And luckily an exhaust tip is easily changed. Genos has several nice ones! Have you seen how these "rocket" tips look inside? The exhaust is "forced" into a 3" or so opening, creating a venturi effect which draws in fresh air from the openings around the larger outer pipe. A hacksaw would immediately be put to work if my truck was equipped with that pos!

Yeah, they look like something from a J. C. Whitney catalog claiming to improve mpg, horsepower, and torque.
