best way to remove fan

What is the best way to remove the fan and clutch on a 2003 ?

Just going from a feeble memory as it has been a long time since I did mine. Remove the fan shroud. Loosen the fan hub from the shaft and take the whole assembly out the bottom. I used an air chisel to loosen the fan hub. It can be done by your self but an extra set of hands to help from the top would make it a lot easier.

Is it left hand thread or right hand thread?

Always loosen it in the direction of rotation. I use a pneumatic fan hub tool.

If it is like my 12 valve you have to hit the bolt towards the drivers side. It is also probably most likely a 36mm wrench .
