I was wondering if there is any connection to aftermarket injector failures due to not having a modded rail??? I recently had 3 of my injectors go and one was found to have a small particle of metal in the tip. . This was only 300miles after installing the modded rail??? If this were to happen to you would you think that the modded rail possibley let a small particle of metal go into the injectors??? I have a glacier fuel system with prescreen, and 2 micron filter that then flows into the stock wix filter housing. . I was told by the rail modder that after market injectors will fail is the rail is not modded?? Wesley

I have three friends with T&C modded rails and none of them have had any issues. Boomchadda has around 7,000 miles on his and no issues. Doubt that there was any metal left in it after machining if it is from T&C because all of ours came spottless. We cleaned them before install anyway. Hope this helps

Supposedly the CP3 can slough metallic debris, there was discussion about this in the past where it would be nice to have some sort of filter that could withstand high pressure and go between the CP3 and fuel rail.

Are you using the standard connector tubes, with those "edge filters" inside them, or did the modded rail eliminate or open up the edge filters? They are there exactly to catch small metal chips.

Yes they are stock connector tubes with edge filters. . If you ever looked at them they will definitely not catch the smaller particles. .

The Process in machining the rail is very complex, Maybe that's why very very few companies ever will attempt it. After we Machine them they are de-burred 3 times with 3 different tools then Polish and inspected at the Machine shop then are Brought to Us sealed, the caps are remove and I inspect every rail with a bore-a-scope for burrs, all threads are check then 2 magnets are used 1 for the line holes and 1 for the feed hole, then they are bench tested at 10,000 Psi for leaks ( it's the highest hydraulic pressure we could use or find for that Matter) The ()version now know Wild was tested at a outside source at pulses pressure as high as 40,000 psi... than cleaned and check and again.

Just recently 1 customer spilled engine coolant on the rail when installing, He immediately contacted Me, I instruct Him that under NO circumstance was he to install it... Now all rails come internally fogged.

At T&C we strongly encourage all with any Type of engine performance Please support it with modding the Rail... . We are Not Providing this mod for the $$$$

We are providing a service and making some $$$ along the way, I will make this statement: I have more $$$ than I can spend, that why rails are $ each, if I raise the Price to $400/$450 you would see many Big name manufacturer offering them.

You will be able to read more about Modding rails in the Mid-summer TDR

Magazine, before and after tests I belive Peirs is doing the Dyno testing, But don't Quote Me on that.

Do all of the ppl who mod these rails use the same cleaning process or do some do more than others??? I sent all of my injector lines, stock rail, and connector tubes to Don to be thoroughly cleaned/checked. . They all checked out and are ready to be installed. I wanted to say how impressed I am with F1 and how everything came back to me sealed and engraved numbers on the lines, and injectors. . I am anxious to see if anyone has confirmed injector problems without a modded rail. . I ran 90hp ddp injectors with a stock rail for a year with no problems...

Just to let everyone know I do not believe it was the rail that contributed to injector failure... The metal shavings were found in the cp3 as well... At this time no one knows where they came from... Wesley
