I currently have the Skyjacker 4. 5" lift kit, and I would like to go down to a 2" leveling kit. The kit I have uses 4. 5" springs, new track bar and relocation bracket, control arms, dropped pitman arm, shocks, and dual steering stabilizers. I would like to use someones 2" springs, an adjustable track bar, and possibly a bracket. Does anybody know if the Skyjacker bracket will accept a 3rd Gen style adjustable track bar from somewhere like Thuren, Solid Steel, or Lorenz? I like the idea of eliminating the ball joint, but I am not opposed to using one if I have to. Basically, I need your suggestions on a track bar, springs, and shocks for a 2" leveling kit. I use my truck as a daily driver, so I want something that will ride smooth on the street.

As far as the springs and shocks go, I bought the skyjacker D25 springs that are supposed to yield 2. 5" or so of lift to level the truck and the shocks I used are Bilstein 5100's. I bought all of that at topguncustomz.com and got the Bilsteins that are rated for 2-3" of lift in the front and 0-2" of lift in the rear. . I also bought a solid steel 3rd gen adj track bar and conversion bracket and I can't give any info on how it is holding up but by looking at it, it looks indestructable... here is a link where I posted some parts that I have bought for my front end... . https://www.turbodieselregister.com...iscussions/198567-1996-front-end-rebuild.html

You may want to call Don Thuren direct and ask him. I purchased his Adj 3rd gen bars a month ago. Great guy and busy, figure 2 weeks delivery time.

I emailed Don at Thuren and Russell at Solid Steel. Don has never seen the Skyjacker bracket I have, but I sent him pics and he will get back to me about how it will work with his bar.

Well, it looks like the Thuren 0-3" adjustable second gen bar is the winner. Now, I just need to decide on some coils. Any suggestions for a soft ride coil spring?

Yeah, if they are really 3" they will be too much for me. I think the 2" will be just right. I guess I need new shocks, too. Any good ones that won't break the bank? I have heard the Bilstein 5100's are good.

Is there anything else I need to look at while I am in there. I will get an alignment afterwards, or course, and I only want to tear into this front end once.

I am interested in getting rid of the coils, add a leaves, shocks, dual shock kit, pitman arm, and track bar kit. There have been many requests for these parts, but I will add you to the list.

Well I was planning on buying a lift kit in the next month so definitely let me know when u want to get rid of your stuff.

Got it all done a couple of weeks ago. The truck drives so much better, and taking the add a leaves out really improved the ride. 2" Carrier soft ride coils, Bilstein 5100 shocks, and a Don Thuren track bar.

I am looking at the Kore leveling kit with Bilstein 5100's. Anyone have this kit? How does it ride?

I have the 5100's and wish I would have bought bilsteins heavy duty (yellow) shocks instead. In my opinion, the 5100's are a bit light for our trucks. The only reason I didn't buy the heavy duty ones was that they did not make a set (or at least, I couldn't find any) that was rated for a 2" leveling kit.

Have you picked up the track bar yet? 3rd gen? If not, I have a spare SSI bracket for you. It just needs a bit of straightening. Oo. and a few pertinent bolts to go with it.
