With the cost of diesel soaring, was wondering if anyone has taken the leap and started using B20. I heard that Cummins had issued a bulletin that they approved B20 for the 6. 7 but that Dodge/Chrysler hadn't okayed it yet which means possbile warranty issues if caught.

Now that summer is near and the temps are going up, I'm tempted to run it.

Not much point in running B20. B100 curently cost around $6. 00 a gallon. I'm running a B5 blend now in about 10 JD and a couple cummins engines on irrgation wells, both my pickups and several tractors. I bought almost 10,000 gallons this week cost me an extra $200 to get the bio. Right now using bio fuel is more of a matter of principal rather than saving money.

Mabye not B20 but...

If the communist state of california allowed it to be sold at the pumps I would be running it.

Not more than 50 yards from my house they sell B100. I'm in Monterey. And, last time I checked it was running about 20 cents a gallon less than ULSD. But, that was back before ULSD broke the 4. 00 per gallon mark.

I have not found any so far, so here is one a little far for me but good to for the trip to the lake.

On another note my bonehead kid decided to put a gal of used trans oil in his VW and ran it through a rag for a filter and then could not figure out why it quit running!

I'm on my way to Monterey in about 6 weeks (NPS). How much is diesel going for there these days?

I've ran a few tanks of marked b20 in mine. I use b20 in my excavators and fill my truck with it once in a while. Only 4cents a gallon more than diesel.

I read an article that said any blend of bio in the 6. 7's would cause fuel dilution in the crankcase oil because of the post injection that is intended to burn off the diesel particulate filters in those trucks. (don't know much else about it, anyone else?)

NPS too...

I am currently at NPS. The station closes to me (the one that also has B100) has ULSD for 4. 45, I think. The Pilot in Salinas is usually cheaper, so I always try to fill up if I am passing through there. Right now, Pilot's website says it is 4. 39 in Salinas.
