Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

not as long as there's a pump shop to rebuild my p7100's! I've got 30 years until my trucks are as old as 55-57 chubbies. :-laf

I know your right!!:) When we bought my dumptruck, I looked at Western Stars and they all had Mecerdes motors and those things all just sound sick. I guess that is not really a reason not to buy one but they just dont sound like a big Cummins or kitty cat!

Bean's Open House this weekend 10 May

at the new digs. 8am until the smoke clears.

on Hollis Creek Road--just off John Bragg Hwy- 70s. Three miles West of Woodbury. I don't know the proper address, but the property and new building in the Hollis Creek bottom and joins the main highway. It is in plain view from the 4-lane (we only have one).

Plenty of room for camping, building isn't complete but there are walls and a roof and a burnout pad.

Dunbar's dyno and all the regular nonsense. :-lafOo. :D

Well, had a good time at Bean's on Sat. Perfect weather, couldnt had been any better. Nice new shop as well. Any of yall put at Lafayette?? Noticed fuel went to 4. 29 at my local filling station today, that reminds me to turn that smarty down a couple of levels!!

Some Duramax from KY won. Just the local boys pulling for "Braggin Rights" pretty much. Few broke drive shafts. Started raining halfway through diesel truck class and the track faded fast. Ya'll didn't miss much.

I think the pull at Stanford KY hurt the turnout for trucks:rolleyes:

And you left before the guy from East TN put his 3rd gen on the dyno and knocked out 725 HP--or something like that. No stack(s), with muffler--very stealthy--until the kingsford chunks start pouring out.

Bean's was great. Great new facility, burn-out strip, the usual good food and PERFECT WEATHER.

Most of you missed it.

And by this time next year I expect there to be a truck only-pull on the banks of the Hollis Creek

Mr Dunbar was telling me all about the new competition group and I wish everybody a great time (Meacham!) Down in 'Bama this weekend.

I'll be racing on the trails at Montgomery Bell SP. Rode there yesterday--those are some great trails for folks who live a little closer.

does anyone know what emissions testing is like in Davidson county? I'm going to need to get my truck licensed here in the near future. What is involved? Should I de-tweak my pump (just a 5 plate at the moment) before I go?

no idea about nastyville proper, but they test my green truck right near Meacham's shop once per year. The only thing they (Wilson Co. ) check is opacity--if'n it don't smoke at idle you're fine.

They don't complain about the drips or anything. They never said anything about the missing cat or the soot coated stacks.

They do look at the fuel filler hole. Gubbermint jobs.

I had heard that truck was pretty awesome! He was suspose to dyno before me and scratched his name off. I am glad I left- before he made me look bad:{

I used to attend a convention up at Montgomery Bell SP, it is a very nice place and very reasonable rate there at the inn. Good for a weekend get away. Good luck on the trail!!

If the trail gets 36 to 48 hours of drying time before the race, it'll be the driest trail I've raced all year. If it rains day of--skip it. I've already had all the mudfest on two-wheels I can stand this year. In the meanwhile I'm building a frame of my own.

Hello everyone been offline for awhile, hope all has been well with everyone. check out this website: 1ST TENNESSEE RIFLES MILITIA | Freedom isn't FREE anymore, I been doing alittle political research on some of those Executive orders Bush has passed and that stuff is something else, I'll tell ya. Haven't done anything except hope for the best mileage at this 4. 30 a gal diesel I can get, pisses me off. How about the rest of you?

I'm done with the diesel fuel. #@$%!

I'm going to do SOMETHING to make my own. Anybody got any ideas? I know we had some fellas in Murfreesboro that were using the Diesel Secret stuff. Anybody doing the still using lye and methanol?

I know your right Scott, it is getting way out of hand. On like Monday or Tues it was 4. 29 and my closest station and the next morning it was 4. 46!#@$%! Even off road fuel is way over priced now days, I bought 243 gal to fill a tank on our service truck the other day and it was $1000. I thought they had figured it wrong it was so much but sadly I was the one mistaken. Pretty soon people are going to have to decide to eat or drive to work? I have heard from a sheriff deputy here local that theft is sky high and will probably get worse!

Hey, Scott, Joe, Where are all the pulls. seems like last year there was a bunch this time of year. I've found a few way up in north Ky. or south In. but nothing close.

The only pulls I know about are the pulled muscles in my old back!

I don't know of anything. Looking back at my calender from last year the first pull I have on there was Shelbyville, July 26th, then Waverly, August 20th, Manchester, August 29th, and Glasgow, November 3rd. I know there were a couple more that I evidently didn't mark on my calender.

Quick question, my fiancee has a 94 Saturn with the check engine light on. Its been doing this thing where the transmission can't quite decide what gear to go with, then it'll eventually clunk into one. Today the light came on when it did it, and then it started stalling at stoplights unless you put it in neutral. I went to AutoZone to get the codes read, but its pre-1996, so its not ODBII, so they can't do it. Anyone know a place around here that can read the codes, preferably without charging me an arm and a leg. Also, if anyone has any ideas what might be wrong, I'm open to those as well. I don't know much about auto transmissions.

Thanks in advance,

Travis
