Does anyone here have good info on how to replace a fan clutch. My fan is on constantly, & we have only had 60-70 degree temps. I believe the clutch is shot. Anyone have any other ideas to the problem. My truck is a 98 12 valve. Thanks

Wow, I was amazed when I had the fan blade and clutch off in a matter of a couple minutes. That wasn't bad at all with the advance auto parts fan clutch kit they rent.

I forgot to mention, I put on the hayden brand from o'reilly's fan clutch. It only runs 60 dollars and has a lifetime warranty. Can't beat that.

Don't be too hasty. NAPA has a lifetime warranty too. They seem to fail only when you are at least 1000 miles from home and don't fully engage when it is very hot. I got tired of replacing them in parking lots and bought an OEM from mopar4less. More money, but it works when I need it.

I'm reviving an old one here... Anyone know the sizes of the fan clutch wrenches? I see that Genos has the Lisle 41730 fan clutch wrench set but I can't find the exact sizes here. Instead of a set that only does the one model, I was looking at a more generic wrench set so I may be able to use the them on other vehicles. The set I'm looking at includes 54 mm/72mm 68mm/76mm 83mm 40mm and 48mm.
