It was a day that had to come. One bit of knowledge I picked up was that the Trip odometer pegs at 99999. 9, and doesn't roll with the changes like the official odometer. Based on all the data I've collected, which is pretty much every cent I've put into the truck this vehicle has cost me $. 53/mile when insurance is excluded and $. 58/mile when insurance is included. Anyone know if this is low, high or about right?

Huh, your digi trip odometer works differently than the one on my '98. It increments to 999. 9 then resets to 0. 0, basically like the mechanical one on my '96.

Nope. I've always logged my trips in an event log, along with weights hauled/towed, fuel purchases, oil changes, filter changes, etc. Kind of surprised myself by doing it. I used to never do this. But now this is the first time I've ever known my cost per mile to own a vehicle.

I really dislike digi-odometers, in this day in age with computers what's so hard about making them go 1 or 2 places past the decimal.

You'd think that the trip meter would go past 9,999. 0 to 10,000; especially since many RV'ers have very long travel times.

I hit 200k a few days ago, going across Colorado, now its at 2016XX

In my 06 the overhead mileage quit at I believe 6K or 10,000 Kilometers.

I was on an 8400 mile trip and when it got to 10,000 Kilometers it did not roll over to zero... it just stayed there. Took me awhile to figure why it would stop at 5,9?? miles until I considered Kilometers.
