Robin,

I took this picture last week coming back from Myrtle Beach SC, SR 76/301 just a few miles east of Florence SC. I have no idea how long this station has been closed, but 10's of thousands of Diesel consuming RV's headed to the beach and cars of all types begrudgingly pass by it just after a sign that says it's now about $4. I didn't see a good spot in the fuel forum's to post this, looks a bit too serious from my brief tour, but this must also be visible in other parts of the USA, how bout it TDR member's show us your signs and where they are, just an idea. No offense if nothing happens.

It's almost margarita time.

What a great idea for our next $100 FREE Diesel Fuel Card giveaway. Post your best diesel fuel related sign or photograph by July 25, 2008. A simple post of a fuel sign in your area will get you in the drawing for the $100 FREE Diesel Fuel card. Include the location of the sign. It doesn't have to be a diesel fuel price sign, but it should be relevant. Fuel signs like this are great.

Let us see what you've got.

I have one of a Sunoco station that was . 59. 9 (reg gas)while they were having a gas war with a station down the street.

This was about 8 years ago.

I got to try to dig it up.

watch out for the people who work or know someone who works at a station, and stages their low price by putting whatever numbers they want, just to win the gas card.

I thought the pic just gets you into a drawing, should make no difference if its a low price or not.

Agreed!

Just post a photo. We'll have a random drawing for the free diesel fuel card from everyone who participates.

Simple as that.

fuel

Right we need 22. 177 gallons of diesel fuel so bad that we would stage a sign to try to to win in a random drawing. this is only for fun I would love to win this but I know its a long shot.

the price for the gasoline that is posted was the price at the pump on that day its was in MARCH 07 Today that price is 4. 179 per gallon AT THE SAME PLACE.

Robin,Thanks for the fun on TDR.

So being the thrifty shopper I am, I picked me up 28. 6 gal today at the 76 station for just $146. 00! Boy was I happy! Oo.

I thought this old pump was kind of cool. Sure wish we had the prices that it pumped. It's at an old service station in Mackay Idaho.

Me being the pack*rat I am, I found an old receipt from August 20th, 2001 that I posted on another site a few years ago.

Ahhhhhhh... ... ... ... the good ol' days. :{:{:{:{#@$%!

Maybe I can dig up an even older receipt from December 1997 when I bought my first CTD.

That hurts! I never ever bought fuel that cheap, oops, I have only been sparkplug free since 2005! Bought a 2003 Green SLT QC SB 4. 7L handshaker, salesman asked if I wanted the Cummins, duh, slow learner.
