FED UP with fuel prices?

I think everyone has given up. No one is going to go after the speculators and fix that problem. The democrats arent going to let us get oil in anwr or any of our other offshore areas, even if it kills us.
 
Well we haven't heard to much lately from the talking heads (nightly news) about the price of a barrel of oil or what it costs us at the pumps.



Everyone must be happy with our current $5. 00 a gallon fuel at the pumps :confused: .



It's called "complacency" - as long as prices keep steadily rising, the screams do too - but when they level off - even at what would earlier be considered ridiculous prices, sheeple get used to it and accept it. Those who can, adjust - get a smaller car, a raise in pay or second income - gradually lose their sensitivity to what was earlier viewed as legal mugging...



And, as intended, we as a society obediently CONFORM to the mold of lifestyle and behavior our lords and masters have designed for us... :rolleyes::mad:
 
I quite agree with that statement. When this all started I said that we would all roll over and let it happen to us. What does that say about us ? I hear alot of people boast about how tough and patriotic they are. And how great the US is. But, this isnt the country it used to be.



Look at who we elect ? And when we have the opportunity to throw them out, they get relected.



This will be the century of China. I'm afraid that our time has come and gone.

My point is the screams are not increasing as they should be. People are rolling over to accept these rediculous fuel prices #@$%!...



Remaining quiet we will have this shoved down our throats for sure. Divided on a coarse of action will guarantee it.

Just for the record, when I say "look at who we elect", Im not singleing out Dems or Reps. In fact, Im talking about both.



BTW, I haven't given up either. I personally haven't rolled over. But I think the vast majority of this country has or will.
 
whats gets me is the mentality of many folks. it shocks me at the people who stand in line for days for ticket's to some type of event, or camp out all night at a store waiting to get a deal on some fu***** tv,camera,radio or god knows what else. but they wouldnt form a line to protest fuel prices to save their life!

This is why it's time mainstream America had better WAKE UP before it's all gone. One day they will wake up and wonder what happened to all of our Liberties. It's just like everyone thinks to themselves at one time or another; what happened to the good old days.

Well if you want somebody else to be angry at I got one for you. Flipping through the channels Tues. nite, saw T. Boone Pickens in front of a senate committee on CSPAN talking about his Pickens Plan. Anyways, the arguement was made that how in the world can we tell everyone in the middle east to pump more oil when we won't go after our own resources? Well guess what? OPEC was producing 30 million BPD in 1973. Guess how much they're producing now? 32 million BPD. And that includes adding two new countries to OPEC. OPEC hasn't done squat to increase production in 35 years, and they are the ones that could do it most easily and most quickly. It's all on land, drilling in huge oil fields that are impossible to miss. Yes we should go after our own resources but we must keep in mind that the middle east has the market cornered on oil and natural gas. There is no way around it. They will bleed us dry until we scream uncle.
 
Well there you have it folks! That is what this country gets for 30+ years of supporting the Chinese and cheap American companies that are only concerned about making a buck. It's probably too late to boycott Chinese made goods and the state side companies that support them.



We have made China what it is. Wal-Mart is not the only culprit, but it's the best example I have to use. Look at how much crap is made in that country that gets sold at good 'ole Wally World.



No one in this country should be happy with a new car that gets just 35-40mpg. The old Rambler Americans with the straight six got 30 on the highway.



Keep on making all those wasteful trips into town to Wal-Mart, and I'll buy Exxon and Wal-Mart stock.



It's not the Reps or Dems, it's US!!!!! We have no one to blame but our selves.
 
Whew !!! What a relief

Whew, what a relief !!! Oil has been going down a few dollars a day for quite a few days now. Had me scared. But I see that the speculators have gotten it handled, and its on its way back up again. I was afraid for a while, that the diesel still in my truck and the gas in my car was going to lose its value.

That's exactly what will happen unless and until we go after our own supplies and alternative sources including solar, wind, nuclear, shale and whatever else can supply us with the energy we need!



The solution is to do it all and do it now. If Congress passed a measure that said just that: "we're gonna do it all and we're gonna do it now. " The price the of oil would drop like a stone. The obstructionists in congress KNOW that's what would happen, but they want the price to remain high.



Vote the rascals out, I say! It's just like the President said right after 9-11: "You're either with us or you're against us" and it's very plain who's on what side. Vote early and vote often!

As of this posting, nearly 155,000 votes have been cast and McCain leads Obama 64% to 36%. Maybe the "silent majority" is about to speak with a voice that can't be ignored.



Too bad Pelosi is from a safe district in San Francisco. The only way we'll ever get rid of her and her sidekicks is to change out the entire House. No way her looney-tune constituents will ever vote her out. Dingy Harry isn't so lucky I think. We Nevadans have had about all of him we can stand. Too bad he's not up for re-election this go 'round, or he'd be sent packing back to Searchlight... .

The problem with shale is that we can't just go do it. They haven't come up with a good viable process to do it yet. I think it's only a matter of time, the natural gas boom in western CO and the barnett SHALE in Texas is because they figured out how to get natural gas out of the shale. I think it's a few years down the road until they figure out how to do shale oil.
