According to the September issue of Diesel Power (Don't ask me why they sent me the September issue in July) on page 186, the stock 5. 9 made 269 hp at 2,550 RPM and 594 lb-ft of torque at 2,300 RPM. The 6. 7 put down 259 hp at 2,850 RPM and 487 lb-ft at 2,750 RPM. More power at less RPM's. I'll stick with my 5. 9!

Funny how a group of un/underemployed 20 to 30 something year old hippie, tree hugging, sandle recycling, handout reveiving, pot-smoking burnout, never make anything of their own life whiners can have such an impact huh?

wifes '06 has a straight exhaust ... and airfilter in the stock filter box ...

and it flat walked away from the two 6. 7's we've run it against ... (on the interstate from 60ish up)

How does it sound, and what's the mpg? Thanks.

I'll have to read the Sept. issue again. Tire size, gear, etc. , all makes a difference. Is it possible they were testing an '07, 6. 7l at 305?

They actually took the tires off the 6. 7 and put them on the 5. 9 cause the 5. 9 originally had bigger tires. But, dyno's were run with exact same tires. Don't know about the gear though.

It's the "squeaking wheel" syndrome - the 20 year-old bearded unemployed pot smokers have LOTS of free time to take up causes and carry signs - and demanding higher taxes for THEIR unemployment handouts, while guys like you and me are busy at work - paying the bills - AND taxes... #@$%!

Unfortunately, they are numerous - like head lice - they vote, and nearly outnumber the rest of us...

I was going to post the exact same thing but didn't get to it.

Lotta truth in that statement... .

Yea my Grandfather use to tell me how bad pot was and all the things it will do to me. The funny thing was he told me this while chugging down a water glass of Old Crow and puffin on a Camel straight!
