I was wondering if anyone here has a Bale bed on their rigs. I may be buying a different truck and am considering a bale bed for it. I've never been around one much (not any in my neck of the woods), but they sure look handy. Looking for experiences and opinions on them. Also curious how much these things cost.

Thanks

There are several makers of bale beds, Ive owned Deweeze,Hydr-bed, and Krogmann, Krogmann best for the money in my opinion. Use for many other things other than hauling hay rolls. Costs range around $8500-$11000. Need to spec. a foot longer bed on 2007 and newer Dodges due to rear placemant of fuel tank.

Cannonball makes a nice bed. They dump, plus have the bale arms. My uncle has one and loves it. They are well built but the the price is higher than others.

We have two hydra-dec's that have proven to be very reliable. extendable arms, we really like the electric remotes. The extendable arms make it so we can unload bales into feeders. No matter what brand you get they will make your truck a useful tool.
