This is probably a dumb question, but I don't see any of the ULSD green stickers at most stations since we've been in California. However, people here tell me that it's safe to fill up since all Diesel in California has been ULSD since 2006.

Can you smart guys verify this to me?

They are right. We've had ULSD here from sometime in mid 06, I believe. I was researching all this when I decided to get my 06 ahead of the arrival of the new smog equipment. Don't sweat it.

You've had ULSD since 1995! When I started my driving career the company warned drivers about filling up before we hit Kafilornia because Commifornia had ULSD fuel and it was BAD for the engines!! We were told to buy only 50 gals to get us back east to get REAL fuel outside of the state of Kalifornia because the Kafilornia fuel was BAD for the engines!! Kommifornia has had ULSD and catalytic converters and detuned engines since 1995! Good Luck

Thanks

I've only been here a few weeks and it's my first time in the PROC.

Commifornia! :--) Now that's funny!!!:D

Actually, they got ULSD the same time as the rest of hte country. They did have a low aromatic diesel prior to that, which was different than regular EPA On-road fuel.

California started switching to ULSD in 2006. I believe all fuel stations had until the end of that year to switch over to ULSD (or a big fine).
