Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Smarty stacked w/ edge and settings

I just got my smarty today and soo far all i can say is wow. The Smarty is amazing... . My questioons is I know you can stack it w the edge box and run even number w/ no timing. But my quest is if i wanna run smarty on timing settings and turn power off on edge box is that ok or does the edge need to be unplugged. Also what settings are best to daily drive on smarty and what about combo and also for towing. thank you:-laf

that is why a lot of guys use a fueling only box stacked with the smarty. The smarty timing offers the best fuel economy and lowest egts.

to answer the question

You dont have to unplug the box. For daily driving I use 4, for towing I use 4. You'll really have to play with the two and see what works. I hardly ever run the box on when smarty is loaded, it likes to "ping" pretty bad.
