Besides controlling the grid heaters which affects the charging system; the ait is used by the ECM to control fueling parameters. These alogrithsims have an effect on your fuel mileage and performance. Hope this helps.

just cleaned it with carb cleaner and put it back in

but I found other plugs that where unpluged two of them

just don't know what they go to
