Okay my 2003 HO 48re has 120,000 miles on it. My transmission was just rebuilt by Garmons Diesel Performance, heavy duty torque converter, and a few other parts. I have an S&B Cold Air Intake coming and I will probably install a Silverline exhaust system next. I have an MP-8 and I love the adjustability and I am going to hide the knob so my employees do not find it, when they drive my truck, when it is necessary.

So what would be next , gauges are the first thing that come to mind, after gauges I am not sure... . ? Injectors 50? Head Studs? Upgrade the fuel?

What say you guys?

I would go with fuel upgrades after gauges. Maybe Fass or Glacier. Make sure you get some form of fuel pressure gauge and maybe rail pressure guage. It helps for self diagnostics sometimes.

You won't need to get head studs if your not planning on upgrading the turbo and push more then 45 lbs of boost.

Since you are running the mp-8 I would realy recomend a fuel upgrade such as a airdog or fass. I didn't and paid the price.

Personally I have no experience with running a pressure box but I do a lot of reading. Contamination in the fuel and increased pressure from a box will, over time, ruin injectors. I do not know how much pressure though, or how much time. Personally, I am staying away from pressure since I am running stock filtration.

I want to have some power but from what I am hearing I might need to drop the pressure box, but a Smarty will add pressure too. Am I correct?

I think the newer Smarty software may add pressure but I am not sure. An Edge Juice would work good for you. The ones for our trucks did not add pressure.

The new smarty with revo gives you the option on rail pressure. I toasted a few injectors and in talking with a few diffrent shops it was the general idea that my mp-8 with the stock lift pump and stock filters did the damage along with some not so good fuel. I'm actually putting my mp-8 back on tommarow to try some diffrent setups untill I upgrade to smarty SR.

Wow, that's gutsy to put it back on after toasting some injectors! Did you get a better filtration system?
