Well we just got settled in Calhoun Falls South Carolina and the check engine light came on letting me know that the MAP sensor is on its way out for the third time
. Another problem is my FASS fuel pressure has been jumping between 10 to 16 PSI when I hit a bump. Also add to that the transfer case rear seal has been leaking for about 50,000 miles. So I need to find places to get parts and maybe find a good machine shop as well. So does anyone have any recommendations for a Dodge dealer in western SC or eastern Georgia that I can get parts from?
Has anyone else had a problem killing MAP sensors? I get around 40,000 miles out of each one and there is a cheaper replacement than the dealer?
As for the t-case, there is an update you can buy for our transfer case that gets rid of the slip yoke and replaces the tail shaft assy with a bolt on yoke assy. ; does anyone know where I can get one? I have replaced the tail shaft seal three times and the seal lasts long enough to go out of warranty when it fails again and I am tried of paying $38 each time to the dealer for a new seal.
Last but not least, my FASS fuel pressure keeps jumping when I hit a bump or hit it horizontally, (hitting it on the bottom has no effect) I checked the motor brushes and connections and everything looks new so I am at a loss what could be causing a problem.
I really can't complain about the problems with the truck, I loaded the truck to move everything we own to the gills three time (lightest load was over 15,000 lbs) and drove it from Muskegon MI to Calhoun Falls SC down I75 and I40 through the Smokey Mountains, and on the second trip the truck rolled over 200,000 miles. I didn't hit any grades that slowed me down and most I pulled in 5th gear
. I have to give a big thanks to South Bend Clutch, I have been running on their 13” OFE for over a 120,000 at 470hp and no problems !
.
So Please let me know your recommendations for parts suppliers, T-case updates, and a machine shop.
Thanks
Kyle
