I have a 2005 2500 5. 9L Silver (color matched bumpers and wind deflector) Quad Cab Short Bed Laramie 4x4 Automatic with a little less than 62k miles on it. I am buying a sportsmobile and need to sell my truck. :{

I dont know what to ask for it... The condition is very good. A couple of paint scratches on the front bumper, a ding or two in the Line-X bedliner.

The truck is on a early KORE mid-level setup (not sure if it was the chase or pace at that time), 35" Toyo A/Ts, 3. 73 gears, heated leather seats, driver power seat, cruise control, AC, tilt, sliding rear window, Line-X bedliner, auto dimming mirror with garage door buttons... also just had a new stereo installed... . Eclipse AVN 6620 (7" touchscreen... yes double DIN fits) with Sirius radio, Sirius real time traffic, Navigation, iPOD connect, AM/FM, Bluetooth... . and an option for HD radio that I did not have connected. Front two speakers were upgraded, rear JL Audio sub stealth box under the rear bench, and two amps.

Any suggestions on how much to ask and where you would attempt to sell it? Thanks!!

Home Page

I sure hope you don't have problems with the 6. 0.....

We had 7. 3's and 6. 0's at UPS and the 7. 3's gave very little problem other than cam position sensors. The 6. 0's on the otherhand had alot of issues.

NICE VAN!!! I have ALWAYS loved Econolines. Owned 3 of them. (We had those at UPS also and they put close to 700,000mi on them before they crushed them. Ours had the 300ci gasser inline 6 cyl.

From what I have seen... most problems with the Ford 6. 0 were prior to 05. I am hoping that by the final model year (07) the bugs were worked out. You never know with Ford though.

Yeah,hopefully it'll work out. I work with a guy with an '07 6. 0 and aside from lousy fuel economy,he hasn't returned it. At the car show here,the Sportsmobile rep. only had 6. 4's to sell. :{ He had to inform all Baja bound potential buyers that they couldn't run them on Mex. fuel. Buyer's bailed. He had some leftover 5-cylinder Sprinter 4wd's though. $100,000.

Yeah... that would be a tough sell in Southern California. 07 is still fine for pemex diesel... and last I heard it was still in the mid $2 per gallon. As for the mileage I hear it is not so great at 13-15mpg. Ouch. Still much better than the non-diesel vans.
