If I trade in my 06 for a new 08, I am considering pulling my gauges and installing in the new truck. I have boost, trans, and EGT mounted on the pillar. I still have my old pillar trim, so no problem there. I can get paint from Geno's to match the new interior color, going from gray to khaki. My concern is plugging the exhaust manifold and transmission fluid line. I still have the old line from the transmission that I replaced, but would rather just plug it. I believe I still have the bolt I removed from the intake manifold. So if I pull the EGT probe and trans probe, where would I find plugs? What size are they, if you all have an idea? I figure this could save me close to $400?

Thanks,

Brent

My SPA EGT probe used 1/8th pipe on the manifold. I found a stainless steel plug. I did what you did. I had a '01. 5 and I pulled my gauges out before I sold it. Go to a hardware store. You can just use a steel pipe plug. Just not brass.

I transferred my gauge set from my '06 to '08 when it came in but I had so little time from notification of arrival to going over to the town where I ordered it I didn't have a pipe plug or time to search for one. I left the pyro probe in the exhaust manifold and replaced it with a new one from Geno's.
