Awkward remote panic button

Is there any way to disable the remotes panic alarm. I carry it in my pocket. I bend down ,all of a sudden the horns blowing lights flashing. I hit the panic again but it does'nt stop till about 3 minutes. Any suggestions?

I would really like to disable it so it don't come on at all.

I mean, do we really go running when we hear a car alarm going off. Its a real annoyance. Its not my truck who cares!

I submit that you open the case and then Superglue the button so that it can not be energized... . :-laf :-laf

I'm using a piece of Post-it note to cover the contacts. No glue residue to worry about. (added this post to the other one referenced above)

I know this was an old post but reading this reply was funny because one would think that would do it and is a normal reaction to an unwanted alarm. . just hit unlock, but that does nothing. You have to press the panic button again to shut it off. Anyone who is startled by a mistaken press of the panic button is sure to agree that their first thought is not to press the panic button!



I have had it with my touchy panic button and have it apart at the moment, looks like a piece of scotch tap on the contacts & just to be sure- another piece on the button will do.

I never used the panic button untill one day with my Dad. We had just got done loading up the truck and he was trying to be descreet and re tuck his shirt, well he thought no one was looking and dropped his pants to fix his shirt while standing beside the truck... ..... Thats when I hit the button... ... . Guess thats why I'm out of the will... ... . Lol
