Which Air Intake???

I just bought a Smarty for my 06 Mega 4x4. I need an air intake. I was considering Injen, but also Volant and AFE. I plan on putting a 5" Silverline T304 exhaust on it after the intake. Any suggestions.

I went with the AFE cold air system as well as the "BladeRunner" intake plemun/manifold. Noticed a much quicker throttle response. If i was to do it again, I might just run a torque tube and an AFE PG7 stock cone replacement then do the home made air box scoop

That is a great option (of course I think so, cause I did it that way!), except instead of the torque tube, I use the DPP "Cool Hose", red. It is 1 piece, and in my opinion, much better quality than the AFE Torque Tube.

Volant and get the down air horn. It comes down back of your frunt bumper---Good luck I like the one on my 03

get a reusable filter and thats it, the stock intake is as good if not better than any aftermarket intake, its been tested, spend your money where you will actually see some difference.

Agreed! Any viable test I have seen (including the dyno testing published in TDR) show little to no change with the various intakes, some aftermarket systems are actually worse than stock. Unless you are highly modded (i. e. increased fueling) and need the airflow for EGT control (which comes with additional mods, not just the filter/intake), it's not worth the money or risk of poor filtration.
